5G: a positive impact

on economy, employment and environment in 2030

Orange has commissioned a study by OMDIA, a world leader in technology and telecommunications research, to measure the impact of 5G.

This independent study assesses the impacts of 5G on economy, employment and greenhouse gas emissions in 2030 in five European countries where Orange operates: France, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Romania and Slovakia.

The main results: 
 
  • 416 billion € of value creation
  • 1.07 million jobs will be created
  • 33 Mt of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions will be avoided 
in the 6 countries studied (in 2030) thanks to the use of 5G in every sector of the economy.
