4mn de lecture

From June 11 to 14, Paris hosted the ninth edition of Vivatech, Europe’s largest innovation and start-up event. This year’s event focused on three major topics: generative AI, cybersecurity and quantum computing, and technology for climate action. Orange, a founding and premium partner of the event, once again made its presence felt by showcasing more than 60 start-ups from its co-innovation ecosystem, as well as a series of technological demonstrations and exclusive presentations.

Under the banner “Trusted Innovation,” Orange has reaffirmed its purpose: “To be the trusted player that gives everyone the keys to a responsible digital world.”

A promise fulfilled through three key areas on the stand :

  • Trusted Business, with its solutions designed to enhance business performance and digital security
  • Trusted Networks, demonstrating how network technologies enable reliable, high-performance, and secure connectivity
  • Trusted Experiences, promoting innovations that put the user at the center, with a focus on inclusion, protection, and support (such as the Safe Zone feature, designed to help young people deal with online harassment)
Orange at VivaTech 2025: 5G technologies and start-ups for digital sovereignty

Orange also highlighted several demonstrators and start-ups that are fully exploiting the capabilities of 5G through high-impact use cases.

  • Vision 4Rescue : 5G for emergency response

Among the flagship projects on display was Vision 4Rescue, a set of interconnected technological solutions designed to increase the efficiency and improve the coordination of emergency services, benefiting from a guaranteed connection in all circumstances.

This seamless connection is made possible by a combination of multiple communication technologies, including the use of an onboard private 5G bubble. This technology enables the deployment of a localized, autonomous, and secure 5G network in the field. It provides ultra-responsive connectivity, which is essential for real-time transmission of critical data such as live video, geolocation, and coordination between teams. This is a decisive advantage for operations in isolated areas or in the context of natural disasters.

  • Wearin’ : a connected vest for the safety of workers at risk

Another notable example was the start-up Wearin’, which presented a smart vest designed to improve the safety and coordination of workers in hazardous environments (industry, construction, emergency services). Connected via 5G, this vest is equipped with biometric, environmental, and location sensors that enable risks to be anticipated and alerts to be transmitted automatically. Supported by the Orange 5G Lab in Châtillon, the start-up benefits from extensive testing of Network APIs to ensure performance and reliability in critical environments.

  • Ex9 : autonomous tractor robots to optimize operations at private industrial sites

Ex9 offers a logistics automation solution, notably through the deployment of autonomous tractor robots to move trailers, containers, pallets, and other heavy loads in logistics or industrial sites. Their mission will be to transport loads to warehouse docks at the optimal time. The solution, which consists of sensors and a modular software platform, enables various vehicles to be converted into autonomous vehicles, thereby improving the productivity, safety, and sustainability of operations. Ex9 uses 5G networks to ensure real-time control and efficient management of the machines in operation. Their goal is to reduce costs, CO2 emissions, and the risk of accidents while optimizing logistics flows.

  • Livespace : enter the world of New Space and hybrid connectivity

Orange has demonstrated with Livespace how satellite connectivity complements terrestrial and submarine networks, ensuring reliable, secure, and resilient connectivity even in the most remote areas.

  • Certificall: digital evidence software admissible in court

The start-up Certificall offers a time-stamping and geolocation solution for photos and videos, enabling companies to build up digital evidence that can be used in legal proceedings thanks to a tamper-proof photographic certificate. In collaboration with the Orange 5G Lab in Toulouse, Certificall integrates Network APIs that enable them to enrich the transfer and certification process with additional official data.

At VivaTech 2025, Orange confirmed its position as a European leader committed to sovereign, responsible, and trustworthy digital technology. Thanks to innovative technologies such as generative AI, cybersecurity, New Space hybrid connectivity, and advanced 5G features, and thanks to a dynamic ecosystem of start-ups and partners, Orange offers concrete, innovative solutions to meet the major economic, environmental, and societal challenges of tomorrow.
