Orange accelerates network API deployment with the launch of Orange LiveNet
Orange accelerates the deployment of network APIs with the launch of a new dedicated Business Unit.
Orange LiveNet aims to create attractive offers for developers and businesses, based on network APIs, by making network functionalities accessible in a secure way as part of a platform approach.
With this Business Unit, Orange aims to support the acceleration of its CAMARA API catalog, an opensource project of the Linux Foundation and an initiative supported by the GSMA with OpenGateway and 69 operator groups worldwide.
Orange’s network APIs will be available via the developer.orange.com portal as well as on several partner channels for developers, starting with Aduna, the new joint venture created by Ericsson and more than 10 international operators including Orange in September 2024.
Network APIs will enable the development of new customer experiences across multiple industries, providing secure, real-time access to personalized connectivity. The first commercial APIs in this new approach are identity and anti-fraud APIs, followed by illustrations at MWC of the use of geolocation and quality-on-demand APIs.
Otilia Anton’s Interview
Orange LiveNet Director, at Mobile World Congress 2025
At Orange we’re very enthusiastic about network APIs, which is why we were early contributors to the GSMA, Open Gateway and Camara Open Source projects. We decided to create Orange LiveNet to accelerate access to these APIs for developers and enterprises, as well as a new customer experience.
