On 19 November 2025, Orange Morocco inaugurated a new experimentation and innovation space in Casablanca: the Orange 5G Lab. This laboratory, which is part of the brand new ‘Orange Tech’ Data Center (1), marks a major step forward in the roll-out of 5G in Morocco, which now covers more than a hundred cities. Designed to test and co-develop concrete uses for 5G, it enables public and private players to explore the potential of this disruptive technology.
A true showcase for innovation and a concrete demonstration of future uses, the Lab allows visitors to discover different use cases. Among them:
1. Communication and immersive experiences:
- Virtual tour of the Data Centre as if you were there, thanks to a 4K VR headset and a 5G connection.
- Interaction with a life-size hologram speaker thanks to the holographic CUBE.
- Manipulation of 3D objects and data in real time with the Phygitale interactive table.
2. Smart Industry:
- Predictive maintenance and remote control of critical equipment.
3. Smart City:
- Connected smart urban lighting.
These various demonstrations illustrate how 5G is already transforming the industrial, education, healthcare and media sectors.
This experimentation centre demonstrates Orange Morocco’s commitment to accelerating the country’s digital transformation by offering concrete solutions for businesses and local authorities.
Starting today, Moroccan companies can also co-create and experiment with their own use cases in this new Orange 5G Lab, with the help of Orange experts.
(1) Data Center « Orange Tech »
On 19 November 2025, Orange Morocco also inaugurated its new state-of-the-art data center, ‘Orange Tech’, reaffirming its position as a technological pioneer. This strategic 15,000 m² infrastructure, certified by the Uptime Institute and equipped with more than 1,000 solar panels, is designed to strengthen Morocco’s digital sovereignty, support the sovereign cloud, and accompany the national digital transformation.
